Job Description:
We are inviting expressions of interest from motivated and enthusiastic individuals looking to begin their career as a First-Year Apprentice in the plastering industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a school-aged individual eager to learn and gain hands-on experience. As an apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship from professionals, mastering all aspects of plastering from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with various plastering tasks, including wall patching, repairs, and installations.
- Help install suspended ceilings, partition walls, and bulkheads.
- Support the team in ornate and decorative cornice installations.
- Aid in the repair and replacement of water-damaged plasterboard.
- Contribute to creating custom plaster features tailored to client specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to NSW safety regulations and business policies at all times.
- Wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required, including protective safety shoes and other necessary equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements:
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in plastering.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of tools and materials used in plastering (preferred, but not required).
- Valid NSW White Card (or willingness to obtain).
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ability to responsibly follow Work Safe policies and procedures.
- Reliability and punctuality.
